Welcome to Seasons Surf School, New York City’s premiere destination for surf coaching and instuction right in the heart of Rockaway Beach, Queens. Nestled against the backdrop of the iconic New York City skyline, our surf school offers an unforgettable experience for surfers of all levels. It is our mission to share the stoke of surfing with locals and visitors alike and our squad of experienced instructors is dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for you to learn, progress, and ride waves with confidence. We operate from the dog days of summer to the winter winds so whether you're a beginner eager to catch your first wave or an experienced surfer looking to refine your skills, we have the program to help you get there. BOOKING A LESSON:
The absolute best way to schedule a lesson or to connect with us is to CALL OR TEXT! This is by far the quickest and easiest way to book a lesson or to send inquires. So make sure you give us a call or send a text to secure your spot in the lineup. We will provide an online option for booking and payment shortly down the road. WHAT TO BRING:
We provide top quality instruction as well as all the gear you will need to get in the water and stay toasty! Depending on the season you surf with us you may want to pack differently. For all seasons we recommend bringing a comfortable and well fitting bathing suit, a towel, water, and plenty of sun screen. Additionally in the winter months you may also want to add an extra towel and an extra pair of socks and don’t forget to dress extra warm for your return trip back home! We are a cash only business and there are a few local ATMs close by, please make the appropriate arrangements for payment before the start time of your lesson.
CANCELLATIONS:
The nature of surfing is that we are all totally reliant on the good grace of the mother nature to provide us with a safe classroom and fun waves to ride. Your safety and the value of your time and money are guiding principles to our program so we offer students who have scheduled lessons the option to reschedule on days with severe weather or an uncooperative ocean. Poseidon can be tricky from time to time.
If you find the need to cancel or reschedule your lesson please give us at least a 24 hour notice. There are a lot of moving parts on our end and many students who want a spot in the line up, so cancellations that are within the 24 hour window will be charged a fee of $50.00 to help cover the wages of staff and crew!
